When I say that God is at work in you, you’ll likely nod your head in agreement.

You know the lingo – the verbiage – the things to do to show that you’re a “good” little Christian.
But I’m going to push on you a bit in this episode. I hope you don’t mind.
I want you to examine whether or not you REALLY believe God is at work in you.
Because if do, there’s no limit to what He might accomplish in you and through.
Stick around for my little rant. It’s not that painful, I promise.
We all know what it means to work. But do we know what it means to let God work in us?
Most of us get busy with some kind of work every day of our lives.
Housework. Parenting work. Office work. Construction work. The list is limitless.
And we know what it means to be tired FROM working.
But God works more than any of us and He never gets tired. It’s one of the perks of being God.
And He says some amazing things to us, about us – that could change everything in our worlds.
Here are a few examples…
Philippians 2:12-13
Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.
2 Corinthians 4:6-7
For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us.
Galatians 2:20
I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
I could go on all day, but you get the point.
God intentionally points out that HE is in us to work THROUGH us.
Let that blow your mind. It’s OK, I’ll wait. 😉
If that is true… if THAT IS TRUE…
- Why do we limit the possibilities of what could come of our lives?
- Why do we look at obstacles and think they are too big?
- Why do we wait around for someone else to change things we see needing changed?
- Why do we sell ourselves short?
- Why do we settle for status quo?
Do you see where I’m going with this?
If God is at work in you, there’s no reason any of that should be true.
This episode is my little rant about that – and hopefully a kick in the seat of the pants – a pep rally – a motivational talk – to get you thinking rightly instead of wrongly.
Come on my fellow Christ-followers, let’s get ourselves aligned with God’s purposes in redeeming us and change this stupid world!
Insecurity can be powerful. But not as powerful as the God who is at work in you
Insecurity is a very real thing.
As real as an intangible feeling can be, that is.
The grip it has on us is strong and it takes intentional work on a number of levels to kick it to the curb.
But it can be done – I know, because I’ve done it. Sort of. 😉
Beating insecurity is a mental task, a FAITH task.
And don’t let my use of that word – faith – make you think we’re about to get all woo-woo and impractical. Not in the least.
Biblical faith is the most practical, action-oriented, world-changing thing there is because it takes God at His word enough to move, to act, to boldly be an agent of change.
Insecurity has no place in the life of a Christ-follower. None. Nada. Zilch.
This episode highlights that fact and gives you some tools that you can use to overcome insecurity once and for all. And it all starts with the reality – THE REALITY – that God is at work in you.
Once you believe that enough to take action, the doors of God-sized possibility are open.
Get ready. God just might rock your world through this episode.
